Police are asking residents for surveillance footage after multiple suspects burglarized vehicles and a garage in an Antioch neighborhood overnight.

The Antioch Police Department said the incidents occurred between 12-2:30 a.m. Monday in the Antioch Manor subdivision on Joren Trail, Johelia Trail and Donin Drive.

A resident nearby in the 600 block of Main Street in Antioch also reported an attempted entry into a detached garage.

A preliminary investigation indicates five suspects were involved, Antioch police said.

Officers were actively canvassing the area and investigating Monday morning.

Any resident who was victimized or has exterior surveillance cameras in the area is asked to call 847-270-9111.

Police also reminded residents to follow the “9 p.m. routine” by locking their vehicles and not leaving valuables in plain sight.

“Most of us keep our garage door opener in the vehicle which allows easy access into your residence if your car is not locked. Turn on your outside lights at night,” Antioch police said.

Residents should report suspicious activity to authorities, including people loitering, looking into cars or trying to open car doors.
