UPDATE: Police say they have identified the woman and reunited the woman with her family.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying an elderly woman who was found wandering around a neighborhood in Hawthorn Woods Sunday.

The Village of Hawthorn Woods said a passerby spotted a woman walking in the area of Glen Road and Rosewood Drive Sunday morning.

The elderly female, who has gray hair, was in her pajamas and wearing a purple jacket.

A passerby stopped and offered assistance to the woman, who does not speak English.

The passerby drove the woman to the Hawthorn Woods Police Department, the village said.

Paramedics with the Lake Zurich Fire Protection District were called to the police station to evaluate the woman.

Officials have not released a photo of the woman yet.

The Village of Hawthorn Woods asked anyone who knows the person to call the dispatch center at 847-438-2349.
