A Kenosha man is wanted for allegedly striking a police officer with his vehicle and recklessly fleeing from officers in Johnsburg, court documents allege.

Andrew D. Quella, 32, of the 7900 block of 25th Court in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, fleeing and attempting to elude an officer, and reckless driving.

The incident happened on March 18 in Johnsburg, according to court documents.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Quella, who was driving a red BMW Z4, a criminal complaint alleged.

Officers asked the man to exit the vehicle but he refused and attempted to drive away in his BMW, the complaint said.

An officer suffered bodily harm after his arm was hit by the fleeing BMW, the complaint said.

Quella led officers on a pursuit through multiple jurisdictions, including into McHenry.

The complaint said that Quella drove recklessly during the pursuit with a “willful or wanton disregard for the safety of the public.”

The complaint alleged that Quella changed lanes multiple times without using his signal and was speeding and tailgating other drivers.

In addition to his criminal charges, Quella was cited for four counts of improper turn signal, speeding, improper stop without a signal and following too closely.

A warrant was issued for the man in late March, court records show. Quella is not in custody and remains wanted.
