Two women suffered serious injuries after one of them drove intoxicated and crash their vehicle, rolling it over several times near Huntley, the sheriff’s office said.

The Huntley Fire Protection District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday to the area of Marengo Road and Howard Lane in Coral Township for a vehicle crash with injuries.

McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Communications Specialist Emily Matusek said the crash involved a black 2009 Honda Pilot.

The Honda was traveling westbound on Marengo Road near the intersection of Howard Lane.

The vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and crashed into a fence, Matusek said.

After crashing into the fencing, the Honda rolled over several times and sustained heavy damage.

Matusek said two women were inside the Honda.

The driver and passenger both suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries, Matusek said.
