Police say three juveniles were robbed by a suspect armed with a handgun as they were walking in a neighborhood in Round Lake Beach Tuesday evening.

Round Lake Beach Deputy Police Chief Wayne Wilde Jr. said officers responded around 10:42 p.m. Tuesday to the area of Brentwood Drive and Oakwood Drive for a report of an armed robbery.

Wilde said it was determined three juveniles were walking in the area when an unknown make and model black SUV approached them.

A male suspect, who was armed with a black handgun, exited the vehicle.

The suspect grabbed a gaming console and a laptop that the juveniles were carrying, Wilde said.

The suspect got back into the SUV and it drove off in an unknown direction. It is unknown if any other subjects were in the vehicle.

Wilde said no one was injured in the incident and Round Lake Beach police officers continue to investigate the case.
