Investigators found dozens of videos of child pornography on devices belonging to a Buffalo Grove man during a search warrant, the sheriff’s office said.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Cybercrimes Unit recently launched an investigation into Jordan L. Curtis, 18, of 2500 block of Waterbury Lane in Buffalo Grove.

The investigation resulted in the Cybercrimes Unit obtaining a search warrant for Curtis’ residence in the 2500 block of Waterbury Lane in Buffalo Grove.

Sheriff’s detectives last Friday conducted the search warrant and seized numerous electronic devices, Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said.

Forensic examination of those devices revealed Curtis possessed dozens of videos of girls under the age of 13 engaged in sexual acts with adult males, Covelli said.

Sheriff’s detectives on Tuesday presented the facts and evidence to the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Charges were approved against Curtis for three counts of possession of child pornography, a Class 2 felony.

A Lake County judge approved an arrest warrant and set bond at $200,000.

Curtis was arrested at his residence without incident on Wednesday and he remains held in the Lake County Jail.

Covelli said that additional charges against the man are possible.
