A driver died and another was injured after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 near Gurnee that left a box truck fully engulfed in flames Wednesday evening, state police said.
The Illinois State Police and Gurnee Fire Department responded around 7:39 p.m. Wednesday to Interstate 94 westbound at mile marker 10.3 in Gurnee, which is south of Route 21, for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

The box truck then caught on fire and was fully engulfed in flames.
The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene, Bufford said.
An autopsy is being scheduled by the Lake County Coronerโs Office.
Paramedics transported the driver of the SUV to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
