Two men are charged with attempted murder after police say they followed a victim to a home in Buffalo Grove and stabbed them, causing multiple injuries.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on June 28 in the 600 block of Trace Drive in Buffalo Grove.

The Buffalo Grove Police Department said they were dispatched to an apartment for a report of a person stabbed.

Officers arrived to find a victim who was bleeding from lacerations in the arm and a puncture wound on the back.

Aid was rendered to the victim by the officers until Buffalo Grove Fire Department paramedics arrived.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery and is currently recovering, police said.

Police were able to identify two suspects, who were known to the victim, as Ryan Bruce, 33, of the 1900 block of Cambridge Court in Palatine, and Ryan Neises, 20, of the 1500 block of Norway Lane in Palatine.

The victim had a previous altercation with one of the suspects.

The victim was spotted by the suspect near a Burger King and the Bruce and Neises allegedly followed the victim home, which is where the stabbing occurred.

The suspects fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Bruce and Neises had both been taken into custody by Sunday with the assistance of the Palatine Police Department.

The Cook County Stateโ€™s Attorneyโ€™s Office reviewed the case and approved attempted murder charges.

Bruce and Neises were transported to Cook County bond court where a judge ordered them held without bond.

The two are scheduled to appear in court again on July 29.
