A 26-year-old man was charged after sheriff’s detectives executed a search warrant at his unincorporated Gurnee home and found numerous videos of child pornography.
Anthony Cloe, 26, of the 16000 block of West Jonathan Lane in unincorporated Gurnee, was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, a Class 2 felony.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received information in March from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that child pornography was being downloaded onto a device at Cloe’s residence, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Ari Briskman.
Sheriff’s detectives obtained a search warrant for the home and executed it on Thursday.
Detectives seized digital media devices belonging to Cloe.
A forensic examination was performed on the devices and found multiple videos of children under the age of 13 engaged in sexual acts with adults, Briskman said.
Cloe was arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail.
His bond was set at $250,000 during a hearing on Friday.
He posted 10%, or $25,000, and was released the same day.
Cloe is scheduled to appear in court on July 28 for a preliminary hearing.
