Authorities say one person was left unconscious and a car rolled over during a multiple-vehicle crash on Randall Road in Lake in the Hills.
The Lake in the Hills Police Department and Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District responded around 6 p.m. Tuesday to Randall Road and Polaris Drive for a three-vehicle crash.
Dispatchers notified responding emergency crews that one of the victims involved was unconscious, Lake in the Hills Communications Coordinator Rachael Ruiz said.
Two vehicles, a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2007 Honda Civic, were both driving northbound on Randall Road.
The driver of the Jeep Cherokee rear-ended the Honda Civic, Ruiz said. The Jeep then rolled over.
The third vehicle, a 2015 Ford Explorer, was driving southbound on Randall Road and was struck and damaged by a piece of debris from the collision.
The drivers of the Jeep and Honda both sustained injuries due to the crash.
Paramedics transported them to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Huntley. Their conditions were not known.
Police cleared and reopened the roadway nearly an hour and a half later.
The incident remains under investigation by the Lake in the Hills Police Department.
