A 16-year-old boy was flown to the hospital after he was heavily entrapped in his car following a crash involving an SUV and pickup truck in Spring Grove, police said.

The incident happened around 3:10 p.m. Sunday on Route 12 between Blivin Street and Wilmot Road in Spring Grove.

Spring Grove Police Chief Mike Niedzwiecki said a preliminary investigation shows a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound on Route 12.

The Jeep, driven by a 16-year-old male from Lincolnshire, crossed over the double yellow line, Niedzwiecki said.

The Jeep struck a 32-foot camper that was being pulled by a 2014 Ford F-150.

A LifeNet medical helicopter landed nearby and transported the 16-year-old to the hospital, Niedzwiecki said. His medical condition was not known but he was stabilized at the hospital.
