Authorities said they are investigating after a 45-year-old man was found dead inside of a car in the parking lot of Walmart in Johnsburg on Thursday.

The Johnsburg Police Department and McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded around 10 a.m. Thursday to the Walmart, 3801 Running Brook Farm Boulevard in Johnsburg.

Emergency crews received a call for a person who was unresponsive.

The subject, Steven Miller, 45, of Hebron, was pronounced dead at the scene.

McHenry County Coroner Dr. Michael Rein said his office was called to the scene to assist in the investigation.

Rein said that Miller was in his own car when he was found by officers.

It is unknown if the death is considered suspicious or not.

An autopsy has been scheduled for early next week by the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
