A Cary man has been arrested after it was discovered he had sex with a dog and investigators found over a dozen images of child pornography in his possession, police said.
Cary Deputy Police Chief Scott Naydenoff told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that his department received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
An investigation was launched based on the initial information received.
Detectives developed evidence that Nikolas Sarabyn, 18, of the 300 block of Parkstone Drive in Cary, was in possession of child pornography.
Naydenoff said that Sarabyn was charged with 17 counts of child pornography, including reproduction and possession of the material.
The charges range from Class X felonies to Class 3 felonies.
During the investigation, detectives discovered Sarabyn engaged in sexual conduct with a dog on at least one occasion, Naydenoff said.
He was additionally charged with one count of sexual conduct with an animal, a Class 4 felony.
Sarabyn was arrested Monday and released from custody after posting 10% of a $100,000 bond, police records show.
Sarabyn is scheduled to appear in court on August 22 for a status of preliminary hearing.
