A Park City man who got probation for sexually abusing a 4-year-old in Lindenhurst and then violated the probation has been sentenced to over three months in jail.

Thomas E. Zbyszynski, 78, of the 3400 block of Jen Avenue in Park City, was charged in January 2018 with predatory criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

A warrant was issued for Zbyszynski’s arrest on January 24, 2018.

Zbyszynski was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force at his residence days later.

The charges stemmed from an investigation by the Lindenhurst Police Department.

Zbyszynski was accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old child in 2016, court records show.

Zbyszynski pleaded guilty in August 2018 to one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in exchange for prosecutors dismissing his other charges.
