No citations were issued after a police officer struck a parked car while leaving the scene of a call in Lake in the Hills, authorities said.

Lake in the Hills Police Department Public Information Officer Amanda Schmitt said a police officer was leaving a call around 6:05 p.m. Saturday.

The call was in the 100 block of Woody Way in Lake in the Hills.

A complaint of a large party blocking the roadway and driveways along Woody Way prompted the response.

An officer was reversing his squad car when he struck an unoccupied parked car, Schmitt said.

The parked car was on the roadway in the 100 block of Woody Way.

Minor damage was sustained to the squad car and the parked vehicle, a white 2019 Honda Civic.

The officer was not injured, Schmitt said. The owner of the Honda was located and advised of the damage.
