Three people, including two men and a woman, were transported to the hospital after being shot during a drive-by shooting in front of a bar in Waukegan Thursday evening.

The Waukegan Police Department and Waukegan Fire Department responded around 10:10 p.m. Thursday to Club 18, 1814 Washington Street in Waukegan, for a shooting.

Waukegan Deputy Police Chief Joe Florip told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that officers arrived to find three victims.

The victims included a Waukegan man in his 20s, an 18-year-old Waukegan woman and a Waukegan man in his 50s.

All three victims suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening, Florip said.

According to fire department radio, one victim was reported to be shot in the leg, another was shot in the arm and the third was shot in the ankle.

Paramedics transported the victims to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville and Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.

Florip said it is believed that the suspect or suspects were in a dark-colored sedan.

Shots were fired from the vehicle at the victims, who were standing outside on the sidewalk in front of the establishment.

No one is in custody, Florip said, adding that the incident remains under active investigation.
