An endangered 77-year-old woman from Wauconda who went missing Thursday was located safe after returning to her home, police said.

The Illinois State Police issued an Endangered Missing Person Advisory following a request from the Wauconda Police Department.

The Wauconda Police Department was searching for Judith A. Kokos, who is a 77-year-old Wauconda resident.

She was last seen in the 3300 block of North Kostner Avenue in Chicago around 6 p.m. Thursday.

It was unclear if she had any connection with that location.

Kokos was driving a blue Toyota Rav 4 with an Arizona license plate.

Police said the woman has a condition that places her in danger.

Authorities had asked the public to call 911 if they had information on her disappearance.

Kokos was located safe after returning to her home in Wauconda on Friday, police said.
