A Round Lake Beach man was arrested after he allegedly entered a manufacturing plant and burglarized it in Spring Grove, court records show.

David Torres, 22, of the 1400 block of Brighton Lane in Round Lake Beach, was charged with two counts of burglary, a Class 2 felony.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges Torres entered Scot Forge, located at 8001 Winn Road in Spring Grove.

Torres did not have authority to be in the building and he intended to commit a theft, the complaint said.

The complaint said Torres was successful in the theft but it did not say what he stole.

Torres also allegedly burglarized a vehicle parked at Scot Forge.

The incident occurred on August 13 and charges were filed against Torres on Tuesday.

An arrest warrant was issued and Torres was taken into custody on Friday, court records show.

Torres was released from the McHenry County Jail after posting 10% of his $40,000 bond.

A status of preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 12.
