Investigators are speaking to two people of interest in connection with the man who was shot multiple times and killed in Antioch Monday evening. The victim’s identity has been released.

The Antioch Police Department responded around 11:05 p.m. Monday to the 1000 block of Main Street in Antioch.

Lake County Major Crime Task Force Spokesman Christopher Covelli said officers received a 911 call of shots fired.

Officers arrived and spoke to a person in the area who heard shots fired from a nearby apartment.

Officers made entry into the apartment and located a 42-year-old man who had been shot, Covelli said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Covelli told Lake and McHenry County Scanner Wednesday afternoon that two people of interest have been identified and taken into custody.

Investigators are questioning the two.

A preliminary investigation shows Dickerson was shot by a person or persons, who then fled the scene before officers arrived.
