Michael A. Smith, 54, of the 100 block of South Western Avenue in Chicago, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a Class A misdemeanor.

The incident happened on August 28 at Ravinia, 200 Ravinia Park Road in Highland Park.

Sting was performing at the concert and the show had concluded late that evening.

Smith was in a vehicle and waiting in traffic following the show’s end, police said.
