Shanquan D. Watson, 19, of DeKalb.

A fourth suspect who was wanted for allegedly beating a man and robbing him of his clothes, shoes and phone in Crystal Lake was arrested on Saturday.

Shanquan D. Watson, 19, of DeKalb, and Devionne Jones, 21, of Chicago, were both charged with robbery, two counts of aggravated battery, mob action and theft.

Jones and Watson were charged in October and warrants were issued for them.

Jones was arrested on August 31, jail records show. Watson was arrested on Saturday.

Two others, identified as Davontae D. Harvey, 21, of Palatine, and Cody T. Hooks, 23, of Carpentersville, were also charged with robbery, two counts of aggravated battery, mob action and theft.

Watson, Jones, Harvey and Hooks, along with a fifth subject, allegedly beat a man at the Mobil gas station, 451 West Virginia Street in Crystal Lake, on July 15, 2021.

The fifth suspect was named in court documents but it remains unclear if he has been charged.

Hooks has since pleaded guilty to mob action and was sentenced to felony probation with credit for time served in jail.

Harvey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to conditional discharge and public service.

Watson and Jones both remain held in the McHenry County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Watson is scheduled to appear for an initial court hearing on Monday morning.
