A man was ejected from his car and seriously injured during a rollover crash on Route 41 in Park City early Sunday morning, fire officials said.
The Gurnee Fire Department, Gurnee Police Department and Park City Police Department responded around 2:30 a.m. Sunday to Route 41 south of Washington Street in Park City.
Gurnee Fire Department Battalion Chief David Douglass said emergency crews received a report of a vehicle crash with injuries.
Crews arrived and found a vehicle that was rolled over in the grassy median of Route 41.
Douglass told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that a 40-year-old man was driving a vehicle northbound on Route 41.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle rolled over and ended up in the median.
The man was ejected through the windshield and sustained facial injuries, Douglass said.
Paramedics transported him to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in serious condition.
He was the sole occupant of the vehicle, Douglass said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Park City Police Department.
