A woman says she is shaken after she and her child were followed by two men, who appeared to film them at one point, requiring security to intervene at the Target in Algonquin.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon at the Target, located at 750 South Randall Road in Algonquin.

The Pingree Grove woman, who did not want to be publicly named, reported she was shopping with her daughter when she noticed two men following her.

One of the men followed her and her daughter through every aisle they went — the women’s and girl’s clothing department, the grocery department, the infant department and the home goods department.

One of the men at one point took a photo or video of the woman and her daughter with his cell phone.

The men did not have shopping carts and did not have any merchandise.

The woman was able to find a security officer and point out the man who was still following her.

The security officer confronted the man, who claimed that he did not speak English.

The security officer told the man to leave and he complied and left the store.

The store obtained video of both men, their vehicles and license plates.

The two men were described as Hispanic in their late 20s or early 30s.

One of the men got into a pickup truck and the other got into a Mercury Mountaineer.

Both vehicles were parked next to each other in the parking lot.

The woman did not file a police report because she said she did not think a crime was committed.
