Matthew C. Lorr, 33, of Woodstock.

A Woodstock man is being held on a $500,000 bond after he was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a young child under the age of 13, court records show.

Matthew C. Lorr, 33, of the 11600 block of Country Club Road in unincorporated Woodstock, was charged with four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, a Class X felony.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges the offenses occurred between January 1 and September 17.

The complaint said Lorr committed multiple sex acts on a child, who was under the age of 13.

It is unclear if the acts occurred separately between the given dates or if they occurred at the same time.

An arrest warrant was issued for Lorr on Thursday, court records show.

The case was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, which arrested Lorr.

The charges against Lorr are Class X felonies, which carry a prison sentence of six to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

McHenry County Judge David Gervais set bond on the warrant at $500,000.

During a bond hearing Friday, a judge kept bond at the $500,000 set on the warrant.

Lorr remains held in the McHenry County Jail and would need to post $50,000 cash in order to be released.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on Tuesday for a bond review hearing.
