Police are seeking the public’s help in finding an elderly woman with dementia who went missing from a residence in Algonquin Monday morning.
The Algonquin Police Department said they are searching 83-year-old Elizabeth Zahn.
Zahn was last seen at her daughter’s home in Algonquin around 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Zahn has not returned home and has not contacted her family with her location, police said.
The woman was seen via security footage leaving the residence on foot.
Police said eyewitnesses reported seeing her walk southbound on Square Barn Road towards Huntley Road between 11:25 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
The Illinois State Police has issued an Endangered Missing Person Advisory, also known as a SILVER Alert, statewide.
The security camera image released is what police say Zahn was last seen wearing.
Police did not provide a physical description of the woman but said she suffers from dementia.
