The Winthrop Harbor Fire Department responded around 5:55 a.m. Saturday to the North Point Marina, 701 North Point Drive in Winthrop Harbor, for a report of a structure fire.

The first firefighters to arrive encountered a locked entrance gate to the property, according to fire department radio traffic.

Winthrop Harbor Deputy Fire Chief John Lewis told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that crews arrived to find an outdoor restroom building on fire.

There were no life safety concerns, Lewis said. The building is next to the marina pool.
