Police are searching for two suspects who broke the front glass of a gas station and burglarized the store by stealing an unknown amount of money and merchandise in Crystal Lake.

The Crystal Lake Police Department received a notification for a burglar alarm around 1:24 a.m. Monday at the BP gas station, 271 West Virginia Street in Crystal Lake.

Crystal Lake Deputy Police Chief Richard Neumann said officers arrived to find the front glass of the business was broken out.

It was determined the offenders made off with an unknown amount of merchandise and money.

Officers obtained surveillance video of the two suspects and the van that they fled in.

Officers did not arrest the offenders and are seeking the public’s help in identifying them.

Neumann said the Crystal Lake Police Department is actively investigating the burglary and all leads as they develop.
