Tierni Micek, 62, of Barrington Hills.

Prosecutors said that a 62-year-old woman bit her adult daughter’s finger off during an altercation and also bit a man who tried to stop the attack in Barrington Hills.

Tierni Micek, 62, of Barrington Hills, was charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery causing bodily harm and domestic battery physical contact.

Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Lillian Lewis said officers with the Barrington Hills Police Department responded on November 12 for a domestic disturbance.

The victim, who is Micek’s daughter, said she had been in a verbal argument with her mother when her mother became combative and took her to the ground, Lewis said.

A witness told officers that he saw Micek hit the victim in the face before taking her to the ground.

The witness tried to separate them but Micek bit him and then bit the victim’s finger off, Lewis said.

Approximately two-thirds of the woman’s pinky finger was taken off. Officers found the finger and gave it to paramedics.

Officers found blood on Micek’s shirt and blood in front of a fireplace where the attack happened, Lewis said.

Officers arrested Micek and transported her to the Lake County Jail.

Prosecutors asked the court to impose a $500,000 bond, while Micek’s public defender asked for a personal recognizance bond.

Lake County Judge Christopher Kennedy set the bond at $100,000. He ordered Micek to have no contact with the victim or the witness.

Micek was released from the Lake County Jail after posting $10,000 cash.

A status of attorney hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
