Jaquelin Magee, 56, of Wadsworth

A woman was arrested after prosecutors say she stabbed her brother in the arm during an argument at a Wadsworth home.

Jaquelin Magee, 56, of Wadsworth, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of domestic battery.

Magee and her brother were verbally arguing at their home in the 38500 block of Waveland Avenue in Wadsworth on November 9, Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Lillian Lewis said.

Magee allegedly took a knife and stabbed her brother in the forearm.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded and Magee was arrested.

Deputies saw a deep cut on the victim’s forearm and medical professionals were concerned about internal damage, Lewis said.

Magee told Lake County Judge Christopher Kennedy that she acted in self-defense.

Kennedy set Magee’s bond at $20,000.

She would need to post $2,000, or 10%, to be released.
