A man was charged after he allegedly fired a gun during an altercation with another man outside of an apartment complex in McHenry last month.

Duran Davis, 36, of the 700 block of North Mill Street in McHenry, was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident occurred on the evening of October 23 in the parking lot of Davis’ apartment.

Davis allegedly fired a gun once during an altercation with another man, putting him in danger, a criminal complaint said.

A judge issued an arrest warrant for Davis on Tuesday.

The man was later arrested by the McHenry Police Department and his bond was set at $100,000.

He would need to post $10,000, or 10%, to be released.

Davis remains held at the McHenry County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 5.
