Cameron J. Dreyer, 35, of Wonder Lake.

A Wonder Lake man who got probation for intentionally hitting a woman with his car in McHenry County has been sentenced to jail for violating his probation, court records show.

Cameron J. Dreyer, 35, of the 5300 block of Patton Drive in Wonder Lake, was charged in early 2020 with two counts of aggravated battery using a deadly weapon and two counts of domestic battery.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court said Dreyer hit a woman with his green 1995 Jeep Cherokee on January 21, 2020.

The woman landed on the hood of the vehicle after being hit, the complaint said.

A grand jury indictment said the victim was a family or household member of Dreyer.

Dreyer pleaded guilty in April 2020 to one count of aggravated battery using a deadly weapon, a Class 3 felony, in exchange for his other charges being dismissed.

He was sentenced to 30 months of probation, partner abuse counseling and drug addiction treatment.

Court records show prosecutors filed a petition to revoke the man’s probation in July 2021.

McHenry County Assistant State’s Attorney Brian Miller said Dreyer, while on probation in McHenry County, was charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety, battery and disorderly conduct in Walworth County, Wisconsin. The incident occurred on July 2, 2021.

A judge re-sentenced Dreyer earlier this week to 30 days in jail, one year of probation and a 26-week Partner Abuse Intervention Program class.

Dreyer’s jail sentence is scheduled to be completed on December 27, jail records show.
