UPDATE: The man was located and is safe, police announced.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 73-year-old man who is considered endangered and went missing from Grayslake Monday.
The Grayslake Police Department said they are searching for Joseph Bucaro, 73, of Grayslake.
Bucaro was reported missing Monday morning to the Grayslake Police Department.
The man reportedly left his residence on foot and was traveling in an unknown direction.
Police did not release the address of Bucaro’s residence.
Police said Bucaro is considered endangered but did not specify why they believe he is endangered.
Bucaro is described as a male white, 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, bald with hazel eyes.
He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, black winter hat and had no jacket on.
An Illinois State Police Endangered Missing Person Advisory has not been issued yet.
Anyone who spots the man or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
