Bystanders rescued an occupant trapped inside a vehicle that rolled over after it crashed with another vehicle on Route 47 in Huntley Saturday morning.

The Huntley Police Department and Huntley Fire Protection District responded around 10:30 a.m. Saturday to Route 47 and Talamore Boulevard in Huntley for a vehicle rollover crash.

Huntley Fire Protection District Lieutenant Ken Larsen told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that crews arrived and found two vehicles involved.

One of the vehicles was rolled over on its side.

Bystanders helped rescue one of the trapped occupants before the fire department arrived.

Paramedics transported two people to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Larsen said.

Another person refused to be transported to the hospital.

The cause of the crash was not immediately released and was being investigated by the Huntley Police Department.
