A man has been arrested after he allegedly criminally intimidated a Woodstock woman and distributed her nude images without her consent, court records show.
Justino D. Vasquez-Torres, 30, of Belvidere, was charged with two counts of intimidation, a Class 3 felony, and eight counts of non-consensual dissemination of a sexual image, a Class 4 felony.
Vasquez-Torres allegedly committed the offense of intimidation in November on two different dates, according to a criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court.
The complaint said Vasquez-Torres had the intent to cause a woman to perform an act against her will by threatening to distribute her private sexual images.
The complaint did not specify what that act was.
Between October and November, Vasquez-Torres disseminated sexual images of the woman without her permission, the complaint said.
The images were identifiable and showed the woman’s nude private areas, the complaint said.
She had not consented to the release of the images, the complaint added.
The case was investigated by the Woodstock Police Department and an arrest warrant was issued for Vasquez-Torres on November 17.
The man was taken into custody on Tuesday by the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the McHenry County Jail.
McHenry County Judge Gerhardt on Wednesday kept Vasquez-Torres’ bond at $100,000, which was set when the warrant was issued.
Vasquez would need to post $10,000 cash in order to be released from the McHenry County Jail.
A bond hearing and trial date status hearing are scheduled for January 20.
