A Crystal Lake man was arrested after he allegedly pulled his pants down and exposed his genitals inside a laundromat in Crystal Lake on Christmas Eve, court records show.
Gerard X. Golston, 32, of Crystal Lake, was charged with public indecency lewd exposure, a Class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor.
A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court said Golston entered Silver Hamper Laundry, located at 469 West Virginia Avenue in Crystal Lake.
Golston pulled his pants down below his buttocks and exposed his genitalia around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, the complaint said.
He held his genitalia in his hand “with the intent to arouse or satisfy his sexual desire,” the complaint said.
The man’s actions caused a woman to be alarmed and disturbed, the complaint said. The woman witnessed Golston’s actions “in plain view.”
Officers with the Crystal Lake Police Department arrested Golston and transported him to the station for processing.
Golston has since been released from custody.
In January 2015, Golston was arrested after being charged with threatening a public official in McHenry County.
Police said at the time that Golston published a rap video on a social media account that contained lyrics that identified a Crystal Lake police officer.
Golston allegedly threatened to shoot the officer, police said.
Golston pleaded guilty to an amended charge of disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor, in exchange for his felony charge being dismissed, court records show.
Golston is scheduled to appear in court on January 9 for a status hearing on his latest case.
