One person was transported to the hospital after an Illinois Tollway truck was involved in a crash with another vehicle on Interstate 94 near Wadsworth.

The Illinois State Police, Newport Fire Protection District and Gurnee Fire Department responded around 12:29 p.m. Tuesday to Interstate 94 south of Russell Road in Wadsworth for a vehicle crash with injuries.

Troop 15 troopers were notified of a minor crash involving an Illinois Tollway maintenance truck and a pickup truck, according to a state police spokesperson.

The incident occurred in the westbound lanes near the 0.5 mile marker.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The spokesperson said the crash does not appear to be a violation of the Move Over Law, also known as Scott’s Law.

State police could not provide further information on how the crash was caused.

The westbound lanes of Interstate 94 were closed for a crash investigation.

The interstate was re-opened nearly an hour later just after 1:20 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
