A Round Lake Beach woman was arrested after allegedly striking a nurse in the face, injuring the nurse, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, police said.

The Libertyville Police Department responded around 2:20 a.m. on January 14 to Advocate Condell Medical Center, 801 South Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, for a report of a battery.

Officers arrived and determined a patient of the hospital, identified as Allysa Delvalle, 30, of Round Lake Beach, was the suspect.

Delvalle had struck a nurse in the face, injuring the nurse and damaging the nurseโ€™s glasses, according to a police report.

The Lake County Stateโ€™s Attorneyโ€™s Office was contacted and felony charges were approved.

Delvalle was charged with aggravated battery to a nurse and criminal damage to property.

Delvalle was released from the hospital around 8:30 a.m. that morning, the report said.

Officers arrested her and transported her to the Libertyville Police Department where she was processed.

Delvalle was later transported to the Lake County courthouse in Waukegan on January 15 for a bond hearing.

Lake County Judge Patricia Cornell ordered Delvalle held on a $3,000 bond.

Delvalle was released from the Lake County Jail after posting 10% of her bond, jail records show.

A status of attorney hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
