The state police have issued an alert asking for the public’s help in locating an endangered 75-year-old man who went missing from Vernon Hills.

The Illinois State Police activated an Endangered Missing Person Advisory for Jack Krause, 75, Sunday afternoon.

The Vernon Hills Police Department reported that Krause is a white male, who is 5-foot-10 and weighs 228 pounds.

Krause has gray hair and was last seen wearing a brown long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans.

Krause was last seen driving a blue Kia Forte sedan with Illinois license CF46202.

The alert said that Krause has a condition that places him in danger.

Authorities said Krause was last seen in the 1200 block of Town Center Road in Vernon Hills, which is the location of his residence.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the man is asked to contact the Vernon Hills Police Department at 847-362-4449.
