Two suspects robbed a gas station in Beach Park and one of them fired a shot before pointing the gun at the clerks Monday evening, authorities said.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9:30 p.m. Monday to the 38300 block of North Sheridan Road in Beach Park for an armed robbery.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived and learned two males entered the gas station.
Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said one of them was armed with a pistol.

The other offender took several vapes that were on display.
Both offenders fled southeast on foot following the robbery.
Police searched the area but the offenders were not located, Covelli said. Nobody was injured during the armed robbery.
Both offenders are described as being Hispanic males, approximately 17-23 years of age, wearing black hats, black masks, black pants and black shoes. They also wore grey construction gloves.
The armed offender wore a grey Nike hooded sweatshirt and a black North Face backpack.
The second offender wore a black North Face jacket.
