Fire officials say a young child and two adults were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash that left one car rolled over near Woodstock Tuesday.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded around 12:39 p.m. Tuesday to the intersection of Route 14 and Hughes Road in unincorporated Woodstock.
Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Communication Specialist Alex Vucha said crews received a report of a rollover crash with people possibly trapped.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived and found a two-vehicle crash at the intersection.
One vehicle was on its side in the ditch, Vucha said. None of the occupants required extrication from their vehicles.
A male driver and a female driver were transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries.
A young child, who was a passenger in the sedan, was transported with the female driver to the hospital.
Vucha said the child reportedly did not sustain any injuries but was transported as a precaution.
Firefighters remained on the scene until both vehicles could be safely towed away.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
A separate, second rollover crash was reported hours later around 4:45 p.m. at Kishwaukee Valley Road and Rose Farm Road in unincorporated Woodstock.
The incident involved a single vehicle and the male driver was uninjured, Vucha said.
