Two Lake in the Hills residents were arrested after police say they claimed to be armed with a gun and robbed a bike shop in Hoffman Estates on Monday.

The Hoffman Estates Police Department said they responded on Monday to a report of an armed robbery at Crank Revolution Bike Shop, 1636 West Algonquin Road in Hoffman Estates.

It was reported that two subjects walked into the store and implied they had a gun, police said.

The subjects then demanded cash from the business before fleeing.

Officers were able to apprehend the two suspects a short time later.

The suspects were identified as Nathanial Fletcher, 21, of Lake in the Hills, and Heather Zamet, 30, of Lake in the Hills.

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and approved charges on Tuesday.

Fletcher was charged with aggravated robbery, resisting arrest, battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Zamet was charged with possession of a controlled substance, fleeing and eluding and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fletcher and Zamet appeared in bond court on Wednesday.

The Hoffman Estates Police Department thanked the public for “their cooperation in the arrest of both offenders.”
