Thomas Anderson, 63, of Beach Park.

The sheriff’s office says that a man was arrested after deputies found him with a stolen grill in the back of his pickup truck following a burglary in Beach Park Saturday evening.

The Lake County Sheriffโ€™s Office responded around 9:30 p.m. Saturday to the 37100 block of North Green Bay Road in Beach Park.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence.

Dispatchers received a 911 call from the victim, who said an unknown person broke into his shed and stole a grill.

Sheriffโ€™s deputies responded to the scene and an alert deputy observed a Chevrolet Silverado in the area with a grill in the bed of the pickup truck, Covelli said.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.

A further investigation revealed the driver, Thomas Anderson, 63, who lives nearby to the burglary victim in Beach Park, was responsible for committing the burglary and stealing the grill, Covelli said.
