Two Boone County men have been charged with stealing multiple vehicles, worth over $100,000 combined, from a residence near Marengo, court records show.

Scott T. Henrie, 34, of Poplar Grove, and Sean A. Fitzpatrick, 47, of Poplar Grove, were both charged with residential burglary, theft from motor vehicle, aggravated unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful possession of three or more stolen vehicles and theft over $100,000.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges Henrie and Fitzpatrick committed a residential burglary sometime on March 28 or March 29 in the 19000 block of Kishwaukee Valley Road in unincorporated Marengo.

The two unlawfully entered the residence with the intent to commit a theft, the complaint said.

Henrie and Fitzpatrick stole a silver 2015 Ford F-250 pickup, which had a red Western snowplow on it, the complaint said.

They also allegedly stole a white 2022 Lexus LS 500 sedan, which has a base MSRP of $76,100.

A separate criminal complaint alleges Henrie and Fitzpatrick stole a 2018 John Deere Gator TS 4×2 along with an Imperial Trailer flatbed double axel trailer from the same victim.

The combined value of the stolen property is between $100,000 and $500,000, the complaint said.

The case was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

The two suspects were arrested and transported to the McHenry County Jail on Monday.

Henrie was ordered held on a $70,000 bond and Fitzpatrick was held on a $75,000 bond.

Fitzpatrick was released from the jail after his bond was reduced to $30,000.

A judge ordered both men to have no contact with each other.

Henrie and Fitzpatrick are both scheduled to appear in court again on April 25 for a preliminary hearing.
