UPDATE: The sheriff’s office tells Lake and McHenry County Scanner that deputies safely located the missing man at Route 59 and Miller Road in Lake Barrington.

Authorities in Lake County say they are searching for a 76-year-old man who is missing and endangered and was last seen in Algonquin Monday.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said they are searching for Larry M. Mackay, 76.

Mackay was driving a blue 2015 Ford F-150 with Illinois registration 1675287B.

Mackay has been driving around the last several hours Monday and was last seen in the Algonquin area.

Mackay has a history of memory loss, the sheriff’s office said.

He is described as being 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds and was last seen wearing a grey or tan sweatshirt and blue jeans.

A Silver Alert is in the process of being issued through the Illinois State Police, the sheriff’s office said.

Anyone who sees Mackay or his vehicle is asked to immediately call 911.
