Police continue to seek the public’s help in identifying a jogger who remains hospitalized and incapacitated after he was found not breathing on a sidewalk in Algonquin.

The Algonquin Police Department and Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District responded around 7:39 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of South Oakleaf Road.

Paramedics received a call for a person who was found unconscious and not breathing in front of a residence.

The person appeared to have had a medical emergency on the sidewalk, according to Algonquin Deputy Police Chief Ryan Markham.

The man was transported to a local hospital but authorities have been unable to identify him.

“At this time, the jogger has not been identified and is unable to provide that information,” Markham said on Monday.

He is currently incapacitated and remains in the hospital.
