An investigation showed a 34-year-old man was walking in the roadway.

A vehicle traveling northbound on Route 47 near Kreutzer Road struck the man, Hooten said.

Paramedics transported the victim to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Huntley.

A LifeNet helicopter was requested and landed at the hospital’s helipad.

The helicopter transferred the victim to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Hooten said the man’s injuries were not considered life-threatening. His condition was not released.
