Pamela M. Szalacha, 59, of McCullom Lake.

A 59-year-old woman has been charged after she allegedly attacked her neighbor and then squeezed an officer’s genitals before kicking him in the groin repeatedly in McCullom Lake.

Pamela M. Szalacha, 59, of McCullom Lake, was charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer, two counts of criminal damage to property, battery causing bodily harm and resisting a peace officer.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges Szalacha walked onto her neighbor’s yard in the 4600 block of West Lakeshore Drive in McCullom Lake on May 5.

Szalacha kicked down a garden trellis and broke the homeowner’s cellphone, causing over $1,000 in damage, the complaint said.

Szalacha then struck the woman in the face with the handle of a pitchfork, the complaint said.

The McCullom Lake Police Department responded and officers attempted to arrest Szalacha.

The complaint said Szalacha began resisting arrest by kicking and swinging her arm.

Szalacha grabbed a police sergeant’s testicles and kicked him several times in the groin area, the complaint said.

While Szalacha was resisting arrest, she also grabbed the sergeant by his neck and broke his gold chain, which was valued at $1,675, the complaint added.

It was unclear why but Szalacha was not immediately transported to the McHenry County Jail and an arrest warrant was issued for her on May 12.

Szalacha was taken into the custody of the McHenry County Jail on Tuesday.

She has since been released after posting 10% of her $50,000 bond.

A status of preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 5.
