Two drivers were transported to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash involving a ComEd truck left the pickup truck heavily damaged on Route 176 in Prairie Grove Tuesday.

The Prairie Grove Police Department and Nunda Rural Fire Protection District responded around 12:11 p.m. Tuesday to Route 176 and Buhl Road in Prairie Grove for a vehicle crash with injuries.

Nunda Rural Fire Protection District Captain Neil Austin said crews arrived to find three vehicles involved, including a Ford F-150, a ComEd truck pulling a trailer, and an SUV.

The Ford pickup truck struck the ComEd truck, which was then pushed into the rear of an SUV.

Paramedics were able to assist the male driver of the Ford out of his vehicle, Austin said.

He was transported to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital.

The female driver of the SUV was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
