Authorities say Lake County Sheriff’s Canine Dax conducted a track and located two juveniles who went missing from a home in Crystal Lake.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office was requested to assist the Crystal Lake Police Department around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said a canine unit was dispatched to Mulberry Lane and Holly Drive in Crystal Lake for a search.

Two juveniles had been reported missing after they left a home on foot.

At least one of the juveniles was reported to be under the influence of alcohol, Covelli said.

Lake County Sheriffโ€™s Canine Dax and handler Deputy John Forlenza responded.

Dax tracked for approximately a half-mile and located both of the juveniles at approximately 1:30 a.m.

The juveniles were hiding in a yard in the 1300 block of Mulberry Lane in Crystal Lake.
