Jaireca Flournoy, 21, of Fox Lake.

A woman kicked a police officer in the groin while resisting arrest and battered a second officer by striking him with her car door in Waukegan, prosecutors said.

Jaireca Flournoy, 21, of Fox Lake, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer, a Class 2 felony.

The Waukegan Police Department responded to a call of a fight in progress on June 7.

Officers arrived and learned the incident was actually a custody dispute, according to Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Manuel Mandujano.

Flournoy went to her ex-boyfriend’s residence to get her child back.

Officers told Flournoy she needed a court order for visitation rules for them to take action.

Flournoy, who was seated in her car, opened her car door and struck him with it several times.

She then started pushing the officer as the officer tried to hold her back from getting into her ex-boyfriend’s house.

Flournoy was released from the Lake County Jail after posting 10% of her bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 27.
